Come to Back to School Night On August 5th!
Park Lane Elementary's Back to School Night will be on August 5th from 5:00pm-6:30Pm! We hope that families will be able to attend this night to meet the staff for the 2011-12 school year. On this night, families will learn about the resources that Park Lane has for families as well as learn about opportunities for families to get involved at Park Lane. Families and students will have the opportunity to tour the building on this night to see the environment where students will be learning. The ribbon cutting for the new science lab will take place on this night too! We hope to see you all there!
Food Pantry Comes to Park Lane Elementary
Park Lane Elementary is happy to be helping our families through the addition of a mobile food pantry. This is made possible through a grant from Target and the Food Bank of the Rockies. Every other Friday, 200 Park Lane families will be invited to the school to get food for their families. Items that families may be able to pick up include milk, breads, meats, etc. We are thankful to our friends at Target and Food Bank of the Rockies for making this possible.
University of Colorado Hospital Partners with Park Lane Elementary
We are very happy to announce a formal partnership with the University of Colorado Hospital. Park Lane Elementary is so fortunate to partner with a great organization like UCH. Because of this partnership, we have been able to provide families with turkeys at Thanksgiving donated by the hospital staff. They also have volunteered to adopt every Park Lane family for this holidays to help ensure our students have a happy holiday season.
We look forward to many events in the future where we will come together as a community to do great things for our students!!
Our New Library is Unveiled!
On August 20th, our new library was unveiled. Thanks to Heart of America Foundation and Target, Park Lane's Library received a makeover. Our library was closed for the first two weeks of school while volunteers worked hard on updating our space with new paint, carpet, furniture and technology. Our new library and computer lab are engaging spaces with rich resources and the latest technology. Our new library also includes over 2000 new titles. Students also are doing more reading at home with the 7 new books they received as a part of the makeover.
