Breakfast in the Classroom!
Did you know your child’s school offers Breakfast in the Classroom? No, well it does! All children are eligible to receive a nutritionally well balanced breakfast for free, regardless of income level. Maybe you are asking yourself why should my child eat breakfast at school? According to the School Nutrition Foundation, children who eat breakfast at school have higher math and reading scores, sharper memories, broader vocabularies, and do better on standardized tests. Not convinced yet? They also focus and behave better, are less likely to be absent, see the school nurse, or to be overweight. We think Breakfast in the Classroom rocks, and want you to be a part of this “rockin” opportunity! Please contact your school Nutrition Services Cafeteria Manager with any questions.
